SHARKS AND PILLS

The feeling of dry land is making me sick,

so I stand here coughing up sharks

This is my friend Kayty. She has a tumblr but probably will not see this post because she is always busy and MIA. I have known her since the summer after 8th grade and she has been a big influence on my growing up. She gave me my first beer (which she videotaped…its little old me sipping a beer delicately and blushing hard at the camera) was witness to my first kiss during a game of spin the bottle at summer camp (though she didn’t know it at the time) and has always been there to support me. She honestly keeps me going when I feel like all I want to do is give up. She hasn’t had the easiest life but always brings her (harsh) sense of humor with her and keeps her chin up in the most drastic of circumstances. I have seen her grow from a quirky young girl with a camera to a beautiful adult who isn’t afraid to stand up for herself. She’s taught me to be myself and do things you think are funny whether other people think so or not, because you have to be able to laugh at yourself to survive living. She works hard and does her best with what she is given and honestly I don’t know what else you could want from a person. Her sense of humor is dark and dry like mine, and I thought I’d share a few of my favorite statuses she’s posted:
“Sometimes I fantasize about ripping his face off..its the romantic in me”
“awkward is:being reminded that I had been really drunk while playing solitaire on the computer and yelled “I ALREADY HAVE ENOUGH QUEENS HERE” while the gay couple I just met sits awkwardly beside me on the couch.”
you’re my hero, garvey. (if she does see this I’ll be subject to endless mocking and yelling, but I wouldn’t love her if she was any other way). Just wanted to say it since I know it might be awhile until we see each other again you hooker.
